PRIVACY NOTICE

Your email, handled with care.

This notice explains what Artificially Confident collects when you subscribe for new articles, why we use it, and how you can leave the list.

What we collect

  • Your email address.
  • Your subscription status, signup source, confirmation and unsubscribe timestamps.
  • Limited technical records used to operate and protect the form, such as an IP address or delivery log where the website or mail system generates one.

Why we use it

We use this information only to manage the Artificially Confident mailing list, send the articles and briefings you requested, protect the service from abuse, and honour unsubscribe requests. The legal basis for newsletter email is your consent.

Signing up starts a double opt-in process. You are not treated as an active subscriber until you use the confirmation link sent to your email address.

Where the information is held

Subscriber records are held in this website’s WordPress database and processed by the website hosting and email-delivery services needed to operate the mailing list. We do not sell the mailing list or add bought-in contacts.

How long we keep it

We keep active subscriber information while you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we stop marketing emails and may retain the minimum suppression record needed to make sure your choice is respected and to meet legal or security obligations.

Your choices and rights

You can withdraw consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in a newsletter. You can also ask to access, correct or erase your information, or raise a concern about how it is used, through the contact page. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

If you are in the UK, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. We would appreciate the opportunity to address your concern first.

Effective: 17 August 2026. We will update this page if the mailing-list provider or the way subscriber information is used changes materially.
